Adverb

Words that modify a verb are called adverb.

e.g: she runs quickly

                    adverb

      (the word quickly explain the way how she runs)

Most adverb are formed by adding ‘ly’ to an adjective.

e.g: - slow à slowly

       - quick àquickly

       - calm à calmly

Narrative Text

Hello everyone :D it has been long time i didn't see y'all guys at lesson. Yeah, it caused by my activities were need much attention. nd now i'm free for couple time. well, today we are going to learn bout narrative text. I guess all of you know bout this, but i just try to remind it. OK let's start then.

            Narrative is a text that tells reader about actual or imaginary story as legend. The purpose of this text is to entertain reader with actual or imaginary experience in different ways. Narratives always deal with some problems which lead to the climax and find the solution. The generic structure of narrative text has three components, they are : (a) Orientation, (b) Complication, (c) Resolution, (d) Re-orientation.

Idiom

Kebanyakan dari kita sering mendengar kata Idiom, tapi masih banyak yang kurang paham tentang apa itu idiom. Jadi, saya mencoba sedikit memaparkan apa itu idiom. Let's check this one out guys.. :D

Idiom dalam bahasa inggris adalah susunan kata-kata  yang tidak bisa diterjemahkan secara terpisah atau kata per kata dan mempunyai arti khusus. Idiom biasanya sering digunakan dalam percakapan sehari-hari. Idiom juga merupakan rangkaian kata yang artinya akan berbeda jika diartikan 1 per 1. di negara Inggris, idiom juga disebut dengan bahasa slang, yaitu kosakata tidak baku, dan sering digunakan dalam situasi formal.

contoh kata :

1. face to face artinya berhadap-hadapan bukan wajah ke wajah
2. by the way artinya ngomong-ngomong bukan oleh jalan

News Item Text

Halo holaaaa......

Udah lama ih ga belajar bareng, nah mumpung lagi ga sibuk nih, yuk kita belajar bareng yukkkk.. kali ini saya akan mencoba mengupas sedikitt sebuah teks yang bernama NEWS ITEM :D

Apa itu News Item teks ? Kalau dilihat-lihat ada kata News disitu, yang udah jelas artinya berita. Jadi News Item itu teks yang membahas tentang berita ya? Yap, anda benar. News Item text adalah teks yang berhubungan atau teks tentang berita. Dimana kita bisa dapat jenis tulisan ini? Teks ini bisa kita dapet kalau kita nonton berita, baik yang lisan maupun yang tulisan. Kalau yang lisan kita bisa melihatnya di media televisi maupun radio, kalau yang tulisan bisa dilihat dikoran-koran, tabloid, atau majalah.

Nah tujuannya apa tuh? Karena teks ini adalah teks tentang berita tujuan komunikatif teks ini adalah untuk memberikan informasi kepada pembaca atau pendengar.

Complex Sentence

Mari kita belajar lagi :D kali ini saya mau coba membahas tentang Complex Sentence. Apa itu Complex sentence? Complex sentence adalah kalimat yg terdapat satu independet clause (induk kalimat) dan satu atau lebih dependent clause (anak kalimat).  Subordinator such as because, after, since, although, who, when, etc.

Example:

Nicky and Fitri went to the movies after they finished studying

            Independent clause                        dependent clause

1.    Cara membuat Complex sentence

There are three kinds of complex sentences, they are:

a.    Adverb Clause

ð An adverb clause in complex sentence gives adverb of time, reason, manner, and so on.

SPOOF TEXT

            Spoof is a text which tells factual story, happened in the past time with unpredictable and funny ending. Its social function is to entertain and share the story. The main character of twist in a funny storyshould be unpredictable and funny. The generic structure of spoof text has three components, they are : (a) Orientation, (b) Events, (c) Twist

1. Generic Structure

     (a) Orientation

·      The beginning of story. A scene setting opening that involved the story, when, and where.

(b) Events

·      Tell readers what happen in chronological order.

(c) Twist

·      An ending in which provide the funniest part of story (something unexpected happens)
